    What is CBD?

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a cannabinoid found naturally in the cannabis plant, more commonly known as hemp. CBD does not contain THC, another compound in the hemp plant, which is responsible for the high typically associated with consuming cannabis. Because of this, the consumer can enjoy the calming, euphoric effects of the plant without the high.

    What is a Cannabinoid?

A cannabinoid is a chemical substance found in the cannabis plant. Scientists have found that the Cannabis plant produces anywhere from 80 to 100 cannabinoids. Some of the most common cannabinoids are cannabidiol or CBD and delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol or THC.

    What are terpenes?

Terpenes are a group of compounds found in nature responsible for the aromas, flavors, and colors associated with them. These compounds are commonly found in plants and specific animals. While they are present in almost all plants, terpenes in cannabis are responsible for the specific smells or tastes of different strains. While terpenes are not intoxicating or will get you high, a few are considered psychoactive due to their effect on the brain. Some preliminary research suggests that specific terpenes could have positive health benefits for mental health conditions such as anxiety or depression.

    Is CBD Legal?

Under the 2018 Farm Bill, CBD is legal and available in all 50 states! By federal law, CBD must contain no more than 0.3% tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). In ordinance with these laws, our CBD products include 0.3% or less THC. Local regulations may affect the availability and use of CBD and related cannabinoids.

Do you get high from CBD?

CBD naturally contains low amounts of THC and, in some cases, none. CBD is derived from the hemp plant, which naturally lacks THC, the compound that causes psychoactive effects or a ‘high’ when consumed. A person will not get high consuming CBD.

    How can I use CBD?

CBD comes in a variety of different forms. From lotions to tinctures and even gummies, there are many ways you can incorporate CBD into your everyday life!

Will CBD show up on a Drug Test?

Most standard drug tests look to detect specific metabolites in the body created when a person consumes THC. While these tests do not detect cannabinol or CBD, if a person consumes a product with low or trace amounts of THC, they may fail the drug test. With there being several variations to take into account from person to person, we are not able to provide a definitive answer.

What are some of the benefits of using CBD?

CBD lacks THC, which allows consumers to enjoy the benefits of the hemp plant without its associated high. CBD is frequently used to help with anxiety and depression and relieve pain, and several users also use it as a treatment for chronic insomnia and for better, more restful sleep. In its many forms, CBD can provide specific impactful relief without using chemicals.

How long will CBD stay in your system?

CBD, like most substances, can be detected in your system from hours after it is consumed to weeks. Exactly how long it remains in your system is dependent on several factors, including:

    • How much you consumed
    • How often you consume it
    • Your method of use (edibles, oils, capsules, lotions and creams, or vapes)
    • Diet
    • Your body composition

How long do the effects last?

Similar to how long it remains in your system, the exact time depends on several factors. Typically, the effects of CBD can last anywhere from 2 to 6 hours with a regular dose.

How long until I feel the effects?

With a standard dose, a person will begin to feel the effects of CBD within 15 to 30 minutes after consuming.

This is my first time using CBD. How should I start?

For those beginning their CBD journey, we recommend starting with our gummies or lotions and working your way into the large spectrum of CBD products available!
